Community Service

What did you learn from the community service project?

  1. I learned that more people need the help than I thought. And also helping out made me feel really good to know that i can do something good for the community even though I am only 13. Knowing that I can make a difference makes me feel like i can change something even though I am only one person.

  2. First off, I really enjoyed the community service project. Helping out made me feel good about myself, and I'd like to do something similar to this again sometime. I never realized how many people actually go to places like Christian Help. I've heard about them, but I just always assumed that they barely had anyone ever come in. Today, though, a lot of people came in and spent a lot of time there, and I saw how important places like Christian Help are to the community, and why people are grateful for those who volunteer to help out.

  3. I learned that a little bit of your time can go a long way to help a lot of people if you do the right thing. Also it showed me how some people get their clothes and how some people my age can even have problems with getting clothes, shoes, and sometimes food.

  4. That its nice of you to help. The people there really appreciate it. It also makes you feel better knowing that you did something to better the lives of others. I'm planning on helping with my community even more now then I did before.

  5. I believe that helping the community is a very good thing to establish in leaders. If a leader isn't capable of being giving than the leader will not be a very good one. Another thing that you have to have when volunteering anywhere is maturaty. If you can't be mature about your work than you aren't a very good leader. Working at Christan Help was a good way to give back to the community.

  6. I learned that it is a very small world for people in this community in that the people at the shop knew each other. Also I learned that they care for each other. It was good to help others and talk to them. I felt good about myself and the edventure group because we all did our share and worked together to help others.

  7. I really enjoyed the community service project. I learned that so many of the little things that i take for granted, for instance, getting new school supplies and clothes, some people are hardly able to get at all. Some people have to rely on what others donate just so they can have an outfit or two for school. It was a total reality check.
